  • Change the height, depth, speed & spin of the shots based on the tactical intention (attack, neutral, defend)
  • Apply slice to the backhand shot during a competitive rally
  • Change stances (open, semi-open, neutral) when redirecting shots

Volley

  • Recognise opportunities to approach the net during a competitive rally
  • Hit the drive volley & overhead into different areas of the court
  • Use first & second volley combinations in doubles
